I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) with over a decade of experience working in a large mental health agency.  I completed my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology in 2008.  While completing my education, I spent a number of years working in a mental health research office and volunteering for various mental health organizations.

Humans are wired for connection.  I became a psychotherapist because I truly believe in the strength of the human spirit, but I also believe that we are at our strongest when we have meaningful, supportive connections in our lives.  I love working with families, as well as doing individual sessions with teens and adults, creating a connection with them that adds to their inner strength.  To me, there is nothing like helping my clients to understand the impact they have on the world around them, and vice versa.  Developing relationships with my clients that are strengths-based, client-centered, and driven by their own goals has always been the focus of my career.  I have seen the valuable changes that can happen when an individual feels safe and supported within a therapeutic setting; it is always my aim to bring this sense of security to the work I do with each of my clients.

The most important factor for success in therapy is the relationship between the client and practitioner; finding the right "fit" is key.  If you would like to find out more about me to determine if I may be a good match for your therapeutic goals, please feel free to contact me for a free 20-minute consultation.  I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
